Let Go music video, 2016

Let go is a long music video to French music artist Philippe Beer Gabel’s song Let go on his solo alumni Antifragile. I was asked to deliver a story of a couple through the choreographic medium. Film as a medium and the frame that it creates has for a long time been in my interests. I had did the core screenplay with the music and later with Kiuru we worked on it to make the means of the choreography and the film meet. Part of the film is made by using score writing method in order to achieve a sense of freedom and such a complexity of movement that can only be accessed by activating and allowing the performers own agency. Altmets and Hiltunen had a great connection from the beginning and that is really visibly on screen. Let go was filmed in the beautiful Finnish archipelago during autumn 2015. It premiered in the spring 2016 and since that it has been screened in Loikka Film Festival in Student Voice category and in Tanssi Virtaa Tampereella -festival.
